I teach kindergarten and my classroom is a home for these babies! I’m an African American teacher who teaches a group of 20 kiddos from a predominantly white and Hispanic low socioeconomic status neighborhood. Over half of my students are bussed in from trailer parks. My class community was hit hard with the government shutdown. We enjoy dance parties and having lots of fun while learning!
