My second graders live in the Hilltop of Columbus, Ohio—an area of the city hit hard by the opioid crisis, poverty, and crime. They don’t have a lot of school experience before attending kindergarten, and many are 2 grade levels behind by 2nd grade. We rely on donations from community partners for supplies, and many of our families do so for basics. Thank you!
