I am a house divided. My body tan loyalty belongs to Tan-Luxe. It is the promise land of self-tanner. Good color, little to no smell, almost no transfer (no transfer except sometimes when I sweat, that will transfer). By my face? La facha is forever Coola.
After going through several bottles of the Coola Self Tan Serum I tried the new Tan Luxe Super Glow Hyaluronic Self-Tan Serum. It got a rave review from Caroline Hirons, what could go wrong? Actually nothing. The serum was good, as are all the Tan-Luxe products I have tried. It was darker than the Coola Self Tan Serum while still being somewhat subtle and buildable, but at a cost almost 50% more per ounce I just can’t justify it over the Coola serum.
If you have tried the Coola serum and it isn’t dark enough for your skin tone, you could try the Tan Luxe Super Glow but for my money I would skip right to the Alpha Beta Glow Pad for Face. These are what I use when I get a spray tan and want my face to match. They’re also what I use when I travel. One wipe gets you pretty dark and lasts 3-4 days.
