Virtual Workouts with Good Music

  • Peloton
    • Most recommended. The only thing this doesn’t offer is classes with that Tracy Anderson/ TSS type movements. But otherwise the best option. Previewing playlists is KEY.
  • Apple Fitness +
    • Unfamiliar with this but safe to assume they have access to premier music licenses. Looks like you get a free trial with a new device so I’m going to try.
  • MadFit
    • Looked this up on YouTube and some major pros. Lot’s of free content. Uses lots of popular songs including Taylor swift. Most routines are not synced to the beat but just the entire song while you do a routine, but again FREE. Great options. Leans more pop than hip hop unfortunately.
  • Obé
    • This shocked me. I was a member and quit because I just didn’t want more house music. Some reports that music has improved. I have my doubts. Should note you must call to cancel subscription.
  • Melissa Wood Health
    • No music in her workouts so you can pick your own. Great in theory but a logistical problem for people who use headphones.
  • EVLO
    • Unfamiliar with this one. Lots of messages that they create Spotify playlists to go with the workouts which seems like a good plan assuming classes don’t require much instruction. Free trial classes I could see did not work like this and you could hear instructors breathing over the music.
  • Sweat App
    • You can sync your Spotify account to the app and play your own music along with instructors.

    • Les Mills (quite a few for him)

I mentioned @stayfitbritt or @stayfitvirtual … her classes are awesome and music choice is great. I think she does a free 7 day trial.
