Thank You for Giving Tuesday 2024

Every year I dread writing this. It sounds insane but giving Tuesday feels so special that sometimes I think if I look directly at it or address it head on too much it might burst. It’s an anomaly of good existing in a world of division. It also feels false for me to be writing about it when the real heroes of the story are everyone else. As always putting words to something like this feels impossible. The only words I have are thank you

I hope you know how much of a difference your contribution made. I hope you know that you are creating the kind of world you want to live in. You are rejecting the apathy that can develop when a system has been broken for so long and insisting on something better. Kids didn’t go hungry this month because of you. They stayed a little warmer and felt more cared for. They saw what the world could be. Through you.

Thank you.

Almost my whole list was cleared! I want to mention Nondisclosure Apparel based in Charleston, SC. They cleared much of my list, but they also sent a huge box of bralettes to our school, something so useful but I never would have thought to include. The bralettes are so nice, I hope people check them out.

I keep staring at the curser trying to figure out what to write but I guess the most important thing is just – Thank you. You are the glue that holds this effort together every year. I can only imagine how stressful and time consuming it is for you and your whole family, but thank you. 💓

For the second year in a row I am completely humbled and left speechless. My faith in humanity is restored. My students have snacks and lunch for months. I have new flexible seating. I am able to send home a Christmas gift with every student (for some it may be their only) my students are having so much fun learning with their new materials and loving all the sensory bins. I am so thankful for this and every single person who helped my classroom and my students. You are all earth angels and I’m forever grateful! Xoxox

THANK YOU to everyone that contributed!! I am still going through gift receipts trying to find a way to thank each person that cleared my list. I let my students open the packages today and they were absolutely floored! They were very grateful ( and a little confused) that random people out in the community made this happen. They kept saying “I love school, this is awesome”, feeling so very loved. And the Starbucks gift card was the cherry on top! TIBAL- you are a gift to teachers <3

Completely amazed and so incredibly grateful for this labor of love that TIBAL and team put on! TIBAL supporters and brands were able to connect directly with our classrooms and for that I am so thankful! My students received books for our classroom library, little Santa hats for our Winter show, goodie bags for the break and so much more! We cannot thank you enough! With (so much) appreciation, Martha T.

As a recipient I just want to say THANK YOU to those who have to my classroom! This has been an especially difficult year and it’s been hard to hold into hope and keep a positive mind set. When the gifts started to arrive at the house it literally took my breath away. The reminder that people do care about teachers and want to help with all the extras we bring to our job- sometimes at a cost to our own needs and wants, was just what I needed to lift my spirits.

TIBAL you may not see what you are doing as the hardworking but shining the light on a need is the catalyst for all this giving. I appreciate your work so much and fully understand the strain advocating places on you mind body and soul. Thank you for this you have no idea how profound the impact of your voice on this platform has changed lives.

Sincerely a very grateful and appreciative teacher.

Thank you for doing this and the way you show your support to educators and our students! I cannot tell you the difference one pack of goldfish, one book, one manipulative for a student who struggles to pay attention can make for a student. Thank you. And a special thank you to those who helped with my list. I was so upset Amazon wouldn’t let me send thank you notes. To Jaclyn T., Dana, and K V, thank you so much for your support ❤️ and to Stephanie and Aaron in the Nashville area, if you happen to be reading this, please know that what you did IS “more” – thank you!

Words will never express how overwhelmingly grateful I am for everything we received for Giving Tuesday because of TIBAL! Lisa Hopkins and a few angels immediately cleared my list which included snacks and a board game for each of my students. All of my kids will have at least one gift under their Christmas tree because of this movement.

I helped our softball coach make a list and a lot of the equipment we needed was donated by generous donors. We don’t have to turn any of our girls away this year because we’ve got enough extra equipment. I’m confident we can pull the funds together to finish outfitting the team once it’s time to order uniforms.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helps to make this a special time for school aged students.

THANK YOU for this amazing page and the kindness of your followers, specifically a wonderfully generous person named Jordan R from Edina, MN. This kind human cleared my classroom wishlist! My students and I are so grateful and want to say a huge thank you to her for her generosity and thoughtfulness. It was such an incredible surprise and we are so humbled and appreciative. To be recognized and supported feels so good. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for brightening our classroom (and spirits!). Your thoughtful giving means the world 💚 – Jenny Rydeen, grade 5 teacher

Some sort of magic juju happened this year and my list was picked. I can’t begin to count how many uniform sets, granola bars, lice kits, diapers, and cans of tuna were purchased from my list. Wishlist shoppers bought six bassinets from my list. Six newborns of student parents will have a safe place to sleep. That is just incredible, truly. My team was blown away by the haul that I brought to campus, easily $3000+ worth of items. The kids I serve were amazed that strangers would support them, and they now see me as a professional beggar 🙂 A few brands reached out to me directly, WHAT?! One sent a gift for me, which was so generous and completely unexpected. And one sent hygiene and cleaning supplies for my students.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to love on our kids in Richardson ISD. In a world that can be so hard, there is always a kindness to find. This was amazing.

Overwhelmed with gratitude! Thank you TIBAL and followers. Early Bird CBD, cleared most of my list and thanks to them my kids will enjoy a Christmas party with lots of treats. Special thanks to Danielle who supported my class all the way from Belgium! The kindness from all of the donors shows hope and light that still surrounds our country! My kids and I are so blessed to have your support and are truly grateful💙

My students and I greatly appreciate the donations from Jennifer and Lahnah, two incredible individual donors! Thank you so much for the new books, snacks and classroom supplies – they will go far in helping us have a great rest of our school year. An added bonus was receiving a Starbucks gift card in my email. TIBAL, your generosity and drive to bring awareness to the needs of our Title I classrooms is truly unmatched and so very special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me better support some really amazing kids!

I am completely blown away by all the things my students and I received! I wrote down the names of every single person who contributed (unless they were anonymous 🥲), and I shared their sweet notes with my students after telling them about the amazing contributions. They were so surprised! Things like a sharpener that works, enough highlighters and markers for activities, and dry-erase markers for math make our day-to-day infinitely better!

I can only hope everyone who contributed knows that it’s SUCH a great impact on teachers and students. 💕

    Thank you so much!!

This was my first year having a wishlist on TIBAL. I am blown away at the amount of generous donations my office received. My students now have winter coats, gloves, and hats to keep them warm this winter. We were also able to restock our diapers , wipes , deodorant, snacks and games I wish I could share the pictures for you to see all the smiling faces. THANK YOU to everyone that made this holiday season so special for our community!

Thank you to each and every INDIVIDUAL DONOR who cleared my list. My school custodian delivered our giant load of boxes dressed as an elf 2 weeks ago, and my 3rd graders are still convinced the gifts are some kind of Christmas magic! Because of you, my 19 littles witnessed the giving spirit. I read each note to them and explained how a whole bunch of people pitching in can add up to a whole lot of help! They told me how they can’t wait to grow up and make their own money so they can help. I cannot wait to share the grand total with them tomorrow – their little minds are going to be blown. Merry Christmas and all my love to you each and every one, TIBAL family!

From Ms. Perkins’ Class : We are so grateful for your generosity. My kids will now have snacks for the foreseeable future. No one will feel embarrassed about getting a snack because they all know the snacks were a gift to be shared. I am so thankful to have been chosen for the third year in a row. Thank you so much for helping show my students that there are kind people that want to help. We even got some new toys for indoor recess! We are so thankful and I wish all the donors could see my kids faces when all the boxes came to our classroom. Thank you from the bottom of my second grade heart! ❤️
